Holiday Ornament Builder

Monday, October 23, 2017

Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a good start.  I wanted to share with you the third and final card I created for The Stamp Market Blog.  This time I've mixed together the Ornament Builder set and the Holiday Cheer set.  These sets work beautifully together.

I used the large polka dot stamp, which is intended to decorate the ornament, to create a polka dot patterned panel.  A second panel was created by doing an emboss resist technique with the snowflake stamp, white embossing powder, and Fired Brick distress ink. I sprayed it with a coat of shimmer mist and let it dry. From the center of that panel I die cut my ornament.  Since the panels are all layered up you'd never know that there was a huge section missing from the center.  Sneaky ;)

The black and white twine was from the stamp packaging!  Had to put that to good use.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I love these Stamp Market stamps and dies.  Expect to see more of them!

All The Feels {The Stamp Market}

Sunday, October 22, 2017

Hey! I'm back with another card featured over on The Stamp Market Blog yesterday.  This time I used a set called Feeling FloralAs you can se in the photo above the set includes a variety of sizes of line drawn flowers.  I chose just one simple image and stamped it in an all over pattern.

I colored the flowers with red, yellow, and orange Copics.  I outlined them all with a T1 copic to make them pop against the white cardstock.

I used a vellum overlay to soften the colors of the flowers.  I stamped a sentiment from the set all over and embossed them with white.  The main sentiment is stamped on a black banner and embossed in white.  This is just one of the many ways you could use this set.  I can't wait to use it again!
Thanks so much for visiting!  Be sure to check out The Stamp Market for these and other awesome stamps!

'Tis The Season {The Stamp Market}

Saturday, October 21, 2017

Good Morning!  Have you heard of The Stamp Market?  It's a brand new stamp company that opened early this year.  I hadn't heard of them until a few weeks ago when I stumbled across a beautiful photo on Instagram.  I then featured them in my Friday Inspiration File on Pinterest Week 332.

I was thrilled when they invited me to create a few projects for their blog!  The quality  of the stamps and dies is awesome! It's right up there with what we have come to expect from all our favorite stamp companies. The stamps arrived beautifully packaged.  I even used some of the packaging on one of my projects.  I'll share that later, but if you can't wait, head on over to The Stamp Market Blog now and check it out!

This first card features an adorable set called Tiny Trees.  It's a small set with so many possibilities.  The stamps can be layered up to create many different kinds of trees.  I chose to start with the solid triangle tree, of course.  You guys know how much I love triangles.  I used two colors of pink and overlapped some of the triangles.  A few of the triangles are embossed with gold embossing powder.  I added the trunk and branches to just a few of the trees and embossed them as well.  The set includes a 'Tis the Season sentiment that I stamped several times on the card panel.

 The main sentiment is created with the Joy die cut from the Ornament Die that coordinates with the Ornament Builder stamp set.  I 've die cut it several times from white cardstock, layered it up, and embossed the top.

I have more projects to share over the weekend featuring The Stamp Market stamps and dies!
Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope to see you again soon!

Totally Admire You

Friday, October 20, 2017

 TGIF! Today I have a card to share that I created awhile ago and forgot to share.  I used the Altenew/Ellen Hutson collaboration called Poppy Fields.  It was part of the Ellen Hutson United We Flourish release.

I paired it with the awesome die from Essentials By Ellen called Totally Fabulous.  I love the way the die cut leaves the bottom of the letters intact.

I love these large poppies and how versatile they are.  You can stamp multiple steps as I've done here or just the outline and color them with your favorite medium.  I used copics on my first project.  You can check it out here.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
